Description
Antoni Gaudí’s legacy transcends architecture, leaving his mark on creations such as the Calvet armchair. Designed between 1900 and 1901 to furnish the Casa Calvet in Barcelona, this oak furniture is still handcrafted following the same methods of the time.
Its structure is composed of five pieces fitted together with great precision, giving shape to a heart-shaped back, a sturdy neck and curved handles, highlighting Gaudí’s sculptural talent and expressiveness. Each copy is numbered and includes a certificate guaranteeing its authenticity as a faithful replica of the original.
This piece still retains its essence intact today. With a satin and waxed finish, this organic-lined armchair not only reflects modernist craftsmanship, but also retains its timeless appeal, combining history, quality and unmistakable style.
